HashTag Environmental Graphics

Translate from logo to lived experience

As HashTag Restaurant expanded beyond its first location, the brand needed to translate from logo to lived experience. Each new space had to feel instantly recognizable while still working within different footprints and neighborhoods. The goal was to create an environment that felt bold, welcoming, and unmistakably HashTag—from the moment guests spotted the building to the time they sat down with a drink in hand.

The Inspiration

Nichez anchored the environmental design in two core brand elements:

  • The cast iron skillet — a nod to the kitchen, comfort food, and the weight and authenticity of the brand
  • HashTag yellow — a vibrant, energetic color that signals fun, warmth, and a little buzz

Together, they formed the visual backbone of the space: earthy, grounded textures contrasted with high-energy pops of color.

The Design Approach

We treated each location as a canvas while keeping the brand system consistent.

Signage leaned into the strength and simplicity of cast iron—bold, high-contrast, and built to stand out from the street. The dark, heavy presence of the signage gave the brand visual weight, while the yellow accents ensured it never felt too serious.

Window graphics were designed to grab attention and invite curiosity. Using Hashtag yellow strategically, the windows became both branding tools and mood setters—signaling that what’s inside is lively, social, and anything but ordinary brunch.

Interior design elements carried the same language inside. From graphic treatments to wayfinding and decorative accents, the space balanced industrial toughness with playful energy. The result was an environment that felt intentional, photogenic, and made for long, boozy brunches.

The Experience

  • Exterior: Bold, recognizable signage with strong street presence
  • Windows: High-impact graphics that activate the facade and draw people in
  • Interior: Cohesive design elements that reinforce the brand without overpowering the food or atmosphere
Every element was designed to work together—creating a seamless transition from outside to inside and from one location to the next.
