Let's reach your best outcome.

Colorado Perioperative Medicine needed a brand identity that could communicate both its specialized approach to surgical care and its connection to Colorado’s active lifestyle. Nichez created a logo built around a simple idea: three critical stages of surgery—pre-operative care, the operation itself, and post-operative recovery—coming together under one coordinated medical group.

The Challenge

Colorado Perioperative Medicine works across the complete continuum of surgical care, helping patients prepare for procedures, supporting them through surgery, and guiding their recovery afterward.

The logo needed to communicate this integrated approach without relying on predictable medical imagery. At the same time, the practice’s focus on sports medicine and its Colorado roots presented an opportunity to create an identity with a strong sense of place.

Nichez set out to create a mark that could represent medicine, movement, collaboration, and Colorado in one simple visual system.

Our Approach

Three Parts. One Continuum of Care.

The foundation of the logo is three individual forms coming together to create a unified mark. Each represents one phase of the surgical experience:

Pre-Op. Operation.
Post-Op.

Individually, they represent distinct stages of care. Together, they communicate Colorado Perioperative Medicine’s philosophy of bringing the entire surgical process under one coordinated team.

Inspired by Colorado

The three elements come together to form a triangular shape that subtly references a mountain peak. The geometry connects the identity to Colorado and the active, outdoor lifestyle of many of the patients the practice serves.

For an organization with a strong focus on sports medicine, the mountain form also carries deeper meaning—suggesting movement, strength, recovery, and the goal of helping patients return to the activities they love.

The Result

The Colorado Perioperative Medicine logo brings multiple ideas together in one concise symbol: three stages of surgery, one coordinated approach to care, and a visual connection to Colorado.

Much like the organization itself, each part has an important role—but the real strength comes from bringing them together.
